The Gladiolus Passos is a true summer bloomer that can flower until autumn. The richly flowering soft lilac gladiolus with large flowers grows to about 100 cm high and should certainly not be missing in your summer garden. The gladioli stand on a sturdy stem. You can also combine the gladioli with other types of plants, such as dahlias. The gladioli are also perfect as cut flowers, so you can enjoy the beautiful flowers indoors too. Pick the stems as soon as the bottom flower opens, preferably early in the morning. Immediately place the stems in a vase of lukewarm water with cut flower food. The tubers can be planted after the last night frost, from April to June.

Care
Gladioli tubers can be planted about 7-10 cm deep in spring after the last night frost. First loosen the soil well and sprinkle a layer of sharp sand at the bottom of the planting hole. This allows rainwater to drain well under the tubers. Place the tubers about 10-12 cm apart. While planting, add some good potting soil. Mix heavy (clay) soil with sharp sand before planting. This large-flowered gladiolus likes to grow in a warm sunny spot. Preferably plant gladioli in a different spot every year.
