The Philodendron 'Black Cardinal' is an astonishing strong houseplant with a special colour: the leaves are very dark coloured. However, the new leaves first turn orange and later they turn darker and darker. This Philodendron grew up in the rainforests of South America, and therefore prefers a humid climate. Since it is certainly not the biggest there, the 'Black Cardinal' prefers the shadow. Due to its origins, the plant also likes a place in the bathroom.

Care
The Philodendron Black Cardinal likes high humidity, which is why the plant prefers to be sprayed on during dry days. This also removes the dust so the leaves can breathe better. The Philodendron does not like to stand next to the heating or on the draft. Furthermore, the Black Cardinal is the perfect plant for rooms that receive less light. It likes to stand in a place in partial shade without direct sunlight. And regularly water the Philodendron small sips: it prefers a constantly moist soil.

Size
The plant has a height of 20-30cm upon delivery, measured including the nursery pot. The plant is supplied in a nursery pot with a diameter of 12cm.
