Musa Ensete Maurelii is a very exotic, special banana plant and is known for its extremely large leaves, its size and its beautiful red colour. Because of its red leaves, it is also called the Red Banana. The red banana plant is very unique and has beautiful red-purple-like leaves with a thick stem. Its leaves can grow up to a meter long. It can also be kept in the garden during the summer months and is truly a feast for the eyes.

Care
The Musa Maurelli needs a lot of water and likes to be fertilized during the summer. You can leave the plant in a pot or plant it in the open ground. Take the plant indoors in the winter, as it cannot stand freezing temperatures. Do not water the plant again until it goes outside again in spring. The Musa Ensete Maurelii should be overwintered frost-free. In winter it is best to keep the plant a little drier. The banana plant otherwise requires little care.

Size
The plants have a height of 55–70 cm upon delivery, measured including the nursery pot. The plants are supplied in a nursery pot with a diameter of 21 cm.
