The Calathea Dottie is a unique plant with striking pink lines on beautiful, dark green leaves. With its beautiful red colour, the underside of the leaves also has great ornamental value. The Calathea is native to tropical regions in America such as Brazil and Columbia, where it grows mostly in the shade of other plants. The Calathea has a special characteristic, as it closes its leaves when it gets dark, to open them again in the morning. You can sometimes even hear the soft rustling of the moving leaves. They are also air-purifying, improving the indoor climate. This also makes them very suitable for schools and offices.

Care
A Calathea is not just a beautiful plant to look at, it also has an air-purifying effect. The plant prefers a bright spot, but not in direct sunlight. A place a little further away in the room is also fine. Spray the leaves with water at least once a week, as it needs a high humidity. Eventually, the Calathea can grow up to about 100 cm tall. Furthermore, the Calathea is not poisonous to pets.

The plant has a height of 30-40cm upon delivery, measured including the nursery pot. The plant is supplied in a nursery pot with a diameter of 17cm.
