The Bougainvillea is a beautiful, showy climber with colourful papery bracts. What could be more beautiful than placing the Bougainvillea in front of a light wall so the colours pop out even more? With its vibrant pink colour, it is a plant that delivers the real summer feeling. Originally, the Bougainvillea comes from Brazil. However, it is very common in southern Europe, making it a true Mediterranean plant. To maintain the beautiful colours, the plant needs a lot of sunlight. The more sunlight it receives on its leaves, the brighter the colours will become.

Care
The Bougainvillea needs sunny weather to flower beautifully. If the plant is in full sun, do water it sufficiently during the hot summer months, even every day during the hottest period. Always make sure that the water can drain away through holes in the bottom of the pot, as the plant does not like wet feet. In full soil, this is of course not necessary, but the disadvantage of this is that it is difficult to bring the plant inside in winter. This is in fact necessary to guarantee flowering again next year, as the Bougainvillea is not hardy.

Size
The plant has a height of 50-60cm upon delivery, measured including the nursery pot. The plant is supplied in a nursery pot with a diameter of 17cm.
