The Bougainvillea is a beautiful, showy climber with colourful papery bracts. What could be more beautiful than placing the Bougainvillea in front of a brown wall so the colours pop out even more? With its purple colour, it is a plant that delivers a real summer feeling. Originally, the Bougainvillea comes from Brazil, but it is also very well known in the south of Europe, so it is an actual Mediterranean plant. To maintain the beautiful colours, the plant demands much sunlight. The more sunlight it gets on its leaves, the brighter the colours will become.

Care
The Bougainvillea needs sunny weather to bloom beautifully. However, if the plant is in full sun, water it sufficiently during the hot summer months, even every day during the hottest period. Always make sure that the water can drain away through holes in the bottom of the pot, as the plant does not like wet feet. In full soil, of course, this is not necessary, but the disadvantage of this is that it is difficult to bring the plant inside during the winter. This is in fact necessary to ensure flowering again next year, since the Bougainvillea is not hardy.

Size
The plants have a height of 50-60cm upon delivery, measured including the nursery pot. The plants are supplied in a nursery pot with a diameter of 17cm.
