When silver-grey catkins appear on the branches of this willow, it is a sure sign that spring has arrived! Salix Helvetica is a compact Swiss dwarf willow with a round shape and dark brown branches. This species is especially suitable as a solitary in a smaller garden, but can also be planted in borders in combination with other perennials or in a pot on the terrace. It also looks very nice in a rock garden. The tree is deciduous and develops shiny silver-green leaves in spring that are greenish-grey underneath. It is very hardy, tolerates sea wind and air pollution, and its leaves turn yellow/orange in autumn. A great addition to the garden!

Care
Salix 'Helvetica' is easy to care for. It is important that the plant is watered regularly and that the soil is kept slightly moist, but permeable. Outdoors, the plant will do fine in full sun. When the Salix has finished flowering in April/May, it can be pruned back. Do be careful with your pets, as the plant is poisonous.

The plants have a height of 80-90cm upon delivery, measured including the nursery pot. The plants are supplied in a nursery pot with a diameter of 19cm.
