Polygala myrtifolia is an evergreen shrub or small tree native to South Africa. The Polygala myrtifolia blooms from April to the first frost with beautiful purple and white flowers that resemble those of sweet peas. The shrub can withstand a temperature of -10 °C but needs some protection during frost. The leaves are oval and have a dull green color. In the evening the flowers close and open again at the first sunlight. The Polygala myrtifolia can grow over 1 meter high.

Care
The Polygala myrtifolia is a grateful bloomer and very easy to care for. It is a tender shrub and therefore requires winter protection. Place the shrub in a pot, tub or on the patio so the plant can be moved indoors in winter n a light conservatory or greenhouse. For best results, grow Polygala myrtifolia in a large container in full sun, in moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil. To keep Polygala myrtifolia compact, the plant can be pruned. This can be done in spring or after flowering.

Size
The plants have a height of 35-50cm upon delivery, measured including the nursery pot. The plants are supplied in a nursery pot with a diameter of 14cm.
