The beautiful pink catkins appear in late winter and bloom until the spring months (March/April). In spring, the leaves have a blue-grey colour. In autumn, the petals turn orange-yellow. The catkins look like they are made of silk and are a welcome addition to an atmospheric winter garden. The branches of Salix Mount Aso are also known as Japanese Pink Pussy Willow and also look very pretty and decorative in a vase.

Care
Salix 'Mount Aso' is known for its extreme winter hardiness. The plant is very easy in maintenance and care. Pruning is not necessary but to make it fuller and produce more flowering branches it is best pruned every 2 or 3 years. Be careful with pets because the plant is poisonous.

The plant has a height of 50 to 60cm upon delivery (measured incl. pot). The plant is supplied in a pot with a diameter of 12cm.
