Acer palmatum 'Going Green' is a Japanese Maple with fresh green leaves and yellow-orange autumn colours. Very attractive for this species are the bright green twigs, which are particularly conspicuous in winter. It is a very strong plant that can easily grow to 200 cm or higher. Pruning is not a problem, but should be done in late summer or early autumn. This Maple species does not like the full sun.

Care
Japanese Maples can best be planted from March to early October. In this period the soil is warmer and the plants can root well. In a planter, this plant does not require special potting soil. Japanese Maples are strong plants but in a windy place the leaves can be damaged. Therefore, place the Acer in a sheltered place. The plant prefers a spot in semi-shade, preferably not too much direct sunlight. Too much direct sunlight can dry out the roots which can lead to leaf loss and can burn the leaves. A Japanese Maple is not evergreen, meaning it loses its leaves in winter. However, the plant is very hardy and will sprout again with beautiful new leaves starting in March.

Size
The plant has a height of 35-55 cm upon delivery, measured including the pot. The plant is delivered in a pot with a diameter of 15 cm.
