With the hyacinth you're not only bringing beautiful flowers into your garden, but also a bit of Greek mythology. Hyacinthus is the Latin form of the Greek word Huakinthos. According to Greek myth, Huakinthos was loved by the sun god Apollo. He was mortally wounded during discus throwing and from his flowing blood grew a flower, which Apollo named after Huakinthos. In this mix you will receive different types of hyacinths in gorgeous pastel colours, namely the Woodstock, Pink Surprise and Carnegie. These types of hyacinths together will give your garden a romantic atmosphere. The hyacinths can reach a height of about 25-30cm. Plant the bulbs between September and December and you can start celebrating spring in April when the flowers are in full bloom.
Care Hyacinths do not need much care. The most important thing is that they are planted in a well drained, light and fertile soil. In case of frost, it is best to place leaves, peat and branches over the bulbs for protection. The bulbs can also be planted in a pot or container. If they are in a container, it is important to protect them from frost with, for example, bubble wrap, straw and leaves.
Size The flower bulbs have a circumference of approximately 14/15cm upon delivery.
