As one of the new red-flowering hydrangeas, 'Wim's Red' is certainly one of the better. It grows beautifully, dark-red, sturdy stems. And, like the colour of the stems, the flowers also discolour. The flowers change colour from white to pink and then wine red. The flowering starts in June. The reddish-coloured flowers remain very attractive until late in autumn. You will be able to enjoy this hortensia for a long time!

Care
Hydrangea paniculata 'Wim's Red' thrives best in dry to moist, well-drained soil. It prefers a position in full sun or partial shade. The flowers of the Wim's Red color best in a sunny position. Hydrangeas do not like drought and need a lot of water, especially in summer. It is best to give the hydrangea a good amount of water at once rather than a little every now and then. It can be planted from March to mid-October, either in the open ground or in an ornamental pot, although it grows best in the open ground. When planting, keep a distance of 75 cm between plants. Pruning the plant is best done in March, about 30 cm above the ground. The harder you prune back the hydrangea, the larger the flowers will grow.

Size
The plant has a height of 25-40cm upon delivery, measured including the nursery pot. The plant is supplied in a nursery pot with a diameter of 19cm.
