The hydrangea (S)witch Ophelia enchants your garden. It changes colour in a fascinating way from June to September. The colour spectacle starts with light lime yellow, which after a while magically becomes pure white and then changes into old pink. The blossoms finally turn red, which is of great decorative value, also for flower arrangers. The blossoms can remain on the plant all winter and must be removed in the spring. The hydrangea paniculata (S)witch Ophelia is very robust and hardy. A plant that enchants its surroundings, to be planted in a container on the balcony or terrace.
Care Hydrangeas do not like drought and need quite a bit of water especially in the summer. It is best to give the hydrangea a large amount of water at once rather than a small amount every now and then. The plant can be planted from March to mid-October, either in the open ground or in an ornamental pot although it grows best in the open ground. When planting, keep a distance of 75 cm between plants. Pruning the plant is best done in March, cut back about 30 cm above the ground. The harder you prune back the Ophelia, the larger the flowers become.
Size The plants have a height of 30-40cm upon delivery, measured including the nursery pot. The plants are supplied in a nursery pot with a diameter of 19cm.
