Alcea rosea 'Peaches 'n Dreams' (hollyhock) is a beautiful, high-growing plant (it can grow up to 100-175cm tall) with a strong, tall stem and strikingly large flowers. The hollyhock is a vertical bloomer, which makes it very suitable for planting against the house or along the fence, for example. This hollyhock has long been a favourite in country gardens and that's not surprising. With its beautiful large flowers and soft pink colour, it brings with it a timeless, romantic atmosphere. The plant is a summer bloomer and flowers from July to August. The rootballs can be planted in April-May.

Care
The hollyhock is a real sunbather. Well-drained, somewhat sandy soil is excellent. Be sure to fertilise sufficiently and do not let the soil dry out. Plant the young plants about 50 cm apart. The nice thing about hollyhocks is that they often sow themselves and thus find beautiful spots in the garden.
