The Alcea, or common name hollyhock, is native to Turkey and was introduced to Europe around the 16th century. A hollyhock is a romantic plant because they look a lot like roses. This mix of Alceas contains plants that produce red, yellow and purple flowers between July and September. The leaves are green and about 40 cm high. You often see this beautiful rose on a south-facing wall or fence because the plant loves the sun. The flowers of the Alcea attract bees and butterflies and make your garden a beautiful place.

Care
Alceas grow best in a sheltered, warm and not humid place. Plant hollyhocks preferably together in smaller groups. They look beautiful on a pergola, a fence or against a south facing house wall. In dry and sunny weather, the plants need a little extra water. Eventually Alceas can grow quite large, up to 300cm tall!

Size
The plants have a height of 25-40cm upon delivery, measured including the nursery pot. The plants are supplied in a nursery pot with a diameter of 9cm.
