Nandina Domestica, also called Heavenly Bamboo, is a beautiful colourful ornamental shrub. The name suggests that this plant is rampant, just like bamboo, but it is not! The story goes that in the past this plant was planted near Chinese temples and from there it found its way to Europe. This shrub has a lot to offer, it is a very hardy, evergreen plant. It blooms in the summer with beautiful white flower panicles followed by red berries and to top it off, the shrub also has beautiful leaf coloration.

Care
Nandina domestica prefers a sunny or semi-shaded location and works well in an oriental garden. The more sun it catches, the redder the leaves will become! Pruning of this shrub is not necessary. The plant is evergreen as well as hardy and desires a location that is not too wet.

Size
The plants have a height of 25-40cm upon delivery, measured including the nursery pot. The plants are supplied in a nursery pot with a diameter of 17cm.
