Nandina Domestica, also called Heavenly Bamboo, is a beautiful colourful ornamental shrub. The name suggests that this plant is rampant, just like bamboo, but it is not! The story goes that in the past this plant was planted near Chinese temples and from there it found its way to Europe. This shrub has a lot to offer, it is a very hardy, evergreen plant. It blooms in the summer with beautiful white flower panicles followed by red berries and to top it off, the shrub also has beautiful leaf coloration. Nandina domestica 'Obsessed' is a new, exclusive variety with beautiful leaf colouration. Warm red leaves in spring, green summer leaves and in autumn and winter the leaves turn a beautiful crimson.

Care
The Nandina Domestica prefers a sunny or half shaded place and is perfect to use in an oriental garden. The more sun the leaf catches, the redder the leaf will become! Pruning of this shrub is not necessary. The plant is evergreen and hardy and does not like a wet place. Be careful, since the Nandina is a very poisonous shrub.

Size
The plants have a height of 25-40cm upon delivery, measured including the nursery pot. The plants are supplied in a nursery pot with a diameter of 17cm.
