The Crossandra Fortuna is a member of the Acanthaceae family. The Crossandra is originally from India, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and Madagascar. The plant is often used in India for different traditions, for example, the flowers are used for decorations. The flowers do not have a smell but are very popular since they are very strong and have a bright colour. The Crossandra can flower from March until October with new orange flowers.
Care The plant's flowering period begins in spring and ends in fall. To keep the plant looking permanently beautiful, it is recommended to remove dead flowers regularly. The plant likes sunlight but try to avoid placing the plant in full sunlight. The plant requires regular watering, make sure the soil does not dry out. In the winter months, the plant requires less water and the soil may be drier. It is recommended to fertilize the Crossandra a few times a year. The plant will grow about 100cm tall.
Size The plants have a height of 20-30cm upon delivery, measured including the nursery pot. The plants are supplied in a nursery pot with a diameter of 13cm.
