Echinacea 'Breeders Mix' is a mix of striking Echinacea flowers, also known as sunflower. These perennials are a favourite of many gardeners. They stand out for their size and colours: a combination of an orange-brown centre surrounded by contrasting pink, yellow or white petals. Even when the flower has finished flowering and the petals hang down discoloured, it still has ornamental value. The plants flower from June to September, and during this time they will be heavily visited by bumblebees and butterflies. The flowers will grow about 70-80cm tall. The rhizomes can be planted from November to April.

Care
The Echinacea is an easy plant to look after. It prefers a sunny spot in fertile soil that is not too wet, the plant can withstand drought quite well if it is in the open ground and well rooted. Give this plant a layer of 3 to 4 centimetres of compost every autumn so that it does not have to fight too hard with other species for nutrients.
