Ribes Nigrum 'Titania' is a black currant that produces a large number of berries when young. The berries are large and juicy and have a delicious cassis flavour. The berries can be eaten straight from the tree, but can also be used in smoothies, juices or jams, for example. The berries are full of vitamin C and minerals. The blackcurrant is a good self-pollinator, so no other berries are needed to give fruit. However, cross-pollination with other species is always better. The berries can be picked in July/August.

Care
The Titania is an easy to care for plant. It can best be pruned just after winter or in early spring. Titania prefers a sunny and sheltered spot in humus-rich soil. The plant is hardy and deciduous.

On delivery, the plant has a height of 90-100cm, measured including the nursery pot. The plant comes in a 21 cm diameter nursery pot.
