Bring a tropical atmosphere into your living room with this beautiful houseplant! The Strelitzia Reginae, better known as the Bird of Paradise plant, originally comes from South Africa. The Strelitzia Reginae is an enormous eye-catcher due to its large pointed leaves and beautiful orange and blue ornamental flowers. The adult height of the bird of paradise plant in the house is approximately 150 cm. The Strelitzia is cultivated outdoors and can therefore have some spots or leaf cracks, this is part of the plant.
Care The Strelitzia Reginae prefers a place with a lot of light. Therefore, the plant also needs a lot of water (pay attention to the drainage to prevent root rot). In winter, water sparingly, allowing the compost to dry out between waterings. The plant can also be kept on the terrace in spring and summer. The plant is not winter hardy, so it must be brought inside again by October at the latest.
Size The plants have a height of 25-40cm upon delivery, measured including the nursery pot. The plants are supplied in a nursery pot with a diameter of 9cm.
