Fargesia nitida ‘Black Dragon’ is native to China and has a unique appearance because of its black branches. The new branches are green at first, but soon turn black because of sunlight. Fargesia Black Dragon is semi-evergreen, hardy and not proliferative. An ideal garden plant therefore! The maximum height of the Black Dragon is 3 metres. This also makes the plant suitable for creating a nice dense hedge. Especially the young branches lose their leaves. The older branches retain most of their leaves.

Care
Fargesia Black Dragon prefers a place in sun or semi-shade and needs moderate to a lot of water. Water the plants regularly in summer and on hot days. It is recommended to plant the bamboo at a distance of 40-60 cm apart if placed in the open ground. But it is also possible to plant the plants in a pot in the garden!

Size
On delivery, the plants have a height of 25-40cm, measured including the nursery pot. The plants are delivered in a 14 cm diameter nursery pot.
