Agapanthus originates from South Africa, where it symbolises love. In this agapanthus mix, you receive 6 strong rhizomes of Agapanthus africanus and Agapanthus orientalis, featuring a beautiful combination of blue and white flowers for a stylish contrast. Agapanthus blooms abundantly from July to September and is a true eye-catcher in the summer garden. The elegant flowers grow on sturdy stems that can reach a height of approximately 80 cm. This ornamental plant is ideal for the garden, terrace or balcony and performs excellently in pots and planters. Thanks to the long, strong flower stems, the blooms are also perfect for use as cut flowers. The agapanthus rhizomes can be planted from April to May, allowing you to enjoy rich and decorative flowering throughout the summer.

Care
Preferably plant Agapanthus in a pot filled with high-quality, well-draining potting soil. Once the risk of night frost has passed, Agapanthus can also be planted outdoors in humus-rich, well-drained soil in a sunny location. Plant the rhizomes approximately 10 cm deep and always use fresh potting soil for pots and planters. During the growing season, it is important to water regularly, while watering should be reduced in autumn. Agapanthus is not frost-hardy; therefore, growing in pots is recommended so the plants can overwinter frost-free. Keep the soil fairly dry during winter, increase watering again in early spring, and place the plant outdoors again after the last frost.
